Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED review: A great sleek laptop

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED Review: Design

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED is a thin and light laptop weighing only 1.45 kg. The laptop is also sleek and can easily fit into any bag for easy portability. I have used several Asus laptops and this time the brand has stamped the ‘VivoBook’ brand on the top cover.

The new laptop comes with narrow bezels that provide an immersive large-screen experience. Asus has included a privacy shutter for the new laptop which is a plus for the user.

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED Review: Key Features

The new Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED comes with a 14-inch OLED display, which is what its name suggests, 2.8K (2880 x 1800) resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 0.2ms response time, 90Hz refresh rate, 600nits HDR peak brightness and DCI-P3: 100 percent. The HDR True Black 600 display supports 1.07 billion colors.

For a better experience, the Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED is certified to emit 70 percent less harmful blue light and comes with SGS Eye Care. The display of the new Asus laptop is quite attractive for any task. Whether you’re watching a movie or attending a video conference, the Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED ensures you have the best experience possible.

There is one downside when it comes to the display. The Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED is not a touchscreen laptop. It would be great if the laptop supported a touchscreen display – but then the price would also go up. If you are looking for a touchscreen device.

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED review: keyboard and trackpad

The trackpad and keyboard are other highlights of the Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED. I have used the keyboard without any problems. Plus, the fingerprint sensor is embedded along with the power button, making it easy to log in.

Asus also introduced a slightly wider trackpad for the VivoBook Pro 14 OLED. The trackpad is also easy to use.

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED Review: Performance Evaluation

The laptop is powered by AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor with 3.30 GHz base frequency and 4242 MHz maximum frequency. The processor comes with integrated AMD Radeon graphics.

First, the Asus VivoBook Pro 5 OLED on the Geekbench platform scored 1385 and 6152 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The CPU-Z benchmarks revealed 580 and 4253 scores in single-core and multi-core testing, respectively. I also ran Cinebench R23 testing, where the laptop scored 1365 and 8547 in the single-core and multi-core tests.

I also had to determine the graphics performance of the Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED. For the same, I ran the 3D Mark benchmark where the laptop scored an overall score of 1248 with a 1099 graphics score and 5395 processor score. Also, the PC Mark 10 test revealed a score of 5626, with 9305 in Essentials, 8752 in Productivity and 5934 in Digital Content Creation.

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED review: Real performance

Benchmarks reveal that the Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED is a powerful laptop with excellent performance. Benchmarks aside, let’s take a look at real-life performance. As I said, I’ve been using the Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED for a while now and overall the performance is decent. I use it for a wide range of personal and work-related activities. Streaming movies on the OLED display was absolutely fun and one of the best experiences ever.

I also participated in a few video calls on the Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED and it was fine too. The camera’s privacy shutter is a bonus that can’t be overlooked. Apart from these, I used an Asus laptop for routine tasks like creating files, sending mail, browsing, etc.

However, I found the laptop to suffer from minor issues. I also encountered some problems in applications such as Microsoft Word and Google Chrome. It took a little longer for Chrome to open a new Word file or for Chrome to respond, even with the latest versions of all apps.

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED Review: Battery, with fast charging

Another feature I liked about the Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED is the battery. Asus has included a 65Wh battery with a 90W fast charging adapter. When I used the laptop for work, the laptop easily lasted for five-six hours. I also felt I could watch Netflix for four hours on a full charge.

Today in the Indian laptop market there are many options which can also confuse the buyer. If you’re looking for a laptop that you’ll be watching a lot of content on, the Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED is a good choice. Whether it’s online classes, video conferencing or anything else, OLED displays are a great option for you.

But if you want a touchscreen display and even better performance, then you should look at any other laptop on the market for this.

Infinix INBook X1 Neo Review: Premium Design

Infinix INBook X1 Neo Review: Premium Design

This Infinix laptop comes with a premium design and doesn’t weigh much. Its weight is only 1.2 kg, which means you can carry it anywhere. The thickness of the laptop is 14.8 mm with a premium look.

In terms of ports, there is a 3.5mm jack, a USB Type-C port, a USB Type-A port, a Kensington lock and a microSD card reader on the right side of the laptop. On the left is an HDMI 1.4 port, a USB Type-C port and a USB Type-A port.

Infinix InBook X1 Neo Review: Best in Class Display

Infinix InBook X1 Neo Review: Best in Class Display

The Infinix InBook X1 Neo features a 14-inch FHD IPS display with a matte finish. The company offers a DCI-P3 display and NTSC of 72%, which no brand offers in a budget laptop at this price. Color accuracy is good and brightness is 300 nits, making it effective for indoor use.

During the review, I watched movies on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix and really enjoyed watching the content on this laptop. However, if you’re using a 15-inch or 16-inch laptop, you might find the Infinix InBook X1 Neo’s display a bit small.

Infinix InBook X1 Neo Review: Performance is excellent

Infinix InBook X1 Neo Review: Performance is excellent

Under its hood, the Infinix InBook X1 Neo uses a quad-core, quad-thread Intel Celeron N5100 processor. It operates at a base frequency of 1.1 GHz while the maximum frequency is 2.8 GHz. As for storage, there’s an 8GB LDDR4X and 256GB NVME m.2 SSD clocked at 2933MHz, which offers a read speed of 1.6Gbps and a write speed of 1.2Gbps.

On Cinebench R20, the Infinix laptop scored 534 in the single-core test and 1652 in the multi-core test. In the Geekbench 5 CPU Benchmark Test, the laptop posted numbers of 625 in the single-core and 1942 numbers in the multi-core CPU test.

Infinix InBook X1 Neo Review: Keyboard and Webcam

Infinix InBook X1 Neo Review: Keyboard and Webcam

The keyboard has monotonous backlighting, which will get some appreciation from the target audience as not all laptops in this price range have backlit keyboards. The keys are huge and well spaced for all typing. The trackpad has a matte finish and is huge with multi-touch and gesture support.

The interesting aspect of the Infinix laptop is the HD webcam. It comes with dual flash and dual microphone. The webcam quality is very good and ideal for video conferencing. However, dual flashlights don’t work well in dark environments. Talking about the speaker, it has dual bottom speakers and they give good performance considering the price of the laptop.

Infinix InBook X1 Neo Review: Powerful Battery

Infinix InBook X1 Neo Review: Powerful Battery

One of the best features of the Infinix InBook X1 Neo is its battery life as the laptop does an impressive job in this aspect. The company has equipped the laptop with a 50Wh battery and comes with a 45W fast charging adapter.

We noticed that the laptop takes about 1.5 hours to charge. When fully charged, this laptop offers an average battery life of eight to nine hours. However, if you use the laptop for browsing or working with a document file, then it lasts longer.

Infinix InBook X1 Neo Review: Should You Buy This Laptop?

The Infinix InBook X1 Neo offers everything we expect from a thin and light budget laptop. Although it lacks features like touchscreen support and fingerprint sensor, it is a good laptop considering the price. So, if you are looking for a laptop that is cheap and comes with great features, then you can buy this one.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G: Design-Display

We like the design of the phone. We had this great mint color option. The phone looks very elegant and decent. Since it is a little big, it is difficult to use it with one hand. The power and volume buttons are given on the right side of the phone. If you are used to this model, then there will be no problem. We liked the phone’s rear camera placement. Nothing new, but it looks good. The back panel is matte, so there are no fingerprints on it. Build quality is good despite the plastic back panel. Overall, we liked the design.

Colors look good when watching videos on the phone. Along with this, you will get a crystal clear viewing experience. The experience of watching video on any platform is great. Samsung Galaxy A73 5G: Performance

The phone is strong in multitasking. The credit for this goes to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G octa-core processor in the phone. Along with this, 8 GB RAM is given. It will probably get 12GB of RAM. Since the price of the phone is high, it would have been better to give this RAM. However, it only gets 8GB of RAM. The phone has a RAM Plus feature, with the help of which you can increase the RAM memory up to 16 GB. 256 GB of storage space is enough for any user.

We tried many apps on the phone. This time there was no hanging or lagging problem on the phone. The phone didn’t even heat up. The performance of the phone is clearly visible after hours of use. This Samsung phone has done well in this regard as well. This phone is a good option for all-day use. You can easily make calls, send emails, access social media, browse, watch videos and play games, etc.

Speaking of heavy gaming, the phone seems to lag behind. We played Star Wars and Battleground India games on it. This time frame drop issue was observed. The rest of the game was pretty smooth. Graphics quality is superb with a 120Hz refresh rate. You will get great experience while playing games with low graphics.

The phone has a quad rear camera consisting of 108 megapixel + 12 megapixel + 4 megapixel + 5 megapixel camera. If you are into photography then you will surely love this phone. Photos taken with the phone’s camera are detailed. Photos taken in normal mode are also good. Shows rich colors and details. Whether you’re shooting at night or during the day, you’ll get great results.

The macro sensor also impressed us. Macro shots are good on the phone and colors look good too. However, enlarging photos can cause pixelation. Pro mode also took good pictures. There is not much difference between photos taken in normal mode and professional mode. Both pictures cover the detail. Photos taken at night are also good. Although noise is visible in this photo. Some pictures taken with the phone camera –

The handset has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. If you are a selfie lover then you will surely love this phone. Phone selfies are great. Day or night, photos taken with it look elegant. The video recording was also good. The video is not shocking.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G: Battery

It has a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The phone charges quickly. One problem, however, is that the charger does not provide. Fast charging support is provided in the phone. But it must be charged with a suitable charger. Even after 25W fast charging, it takes more than 1 hour to fully charge the phone. If you use the phone normally, the battery can easily last two days. With heavy use it will last a little over 1 day.
