OnePlus Nord (Review), which came in first, raised expectations in the segment below 30 thousand rupees. Fans were still waiting for Nord’s phone to come in the segment below Rs 20,000, and now in 2022 Nord has finally been launched in the Rs 20,000 segment. OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G is the most affordable OnePlus phone with prices starting from Rs.19,999. As the name suggests, this is the lighter version of Nord CE 2 5G (Review), but in some cases offers better specifications. Does Nord CE 2 Lite 5G have everything we expect from OnePlus under Rs 20,000, or is there one among its competitors that suits you better?
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G price in India
The base version of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB memory starts at Rs 19,999 in India. Its model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory is priced at 21,999 Rs. Both are available in Blue Tide or Black Dusk. I had its highest version in blue for review.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G design
The Blue Tide makes Nord’s OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G phone. OnePlus uses these same shades of blue for Nord models. Even OnePlus Buds are available in Nord Blue. The Black Dusk variant has a sandstone coating.
At first glance, you may think of the phone as a Realme or Vivo device. Rather, the Realme Q5 and Vivo T1 (review) also look almost identical. OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has a 6.59-inch full HD + display with a camera hole in the upper left corner. However, this is an LCD panel, not the AMOLED we see on OnePlus phones. The good thing is that you get a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, which is higher than 90Hz on the more expensive Nord CE 2 5G. I like the thin frames on the side of the display, but the chin is thick. This is normal for a phone in this segment, with the exception of the Motorola G52.
The frame and back panel of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G are plastic. The power button on the right contains a fingerprint scanner. Due to the slight slope in the frame it is easy to find and reach. The volume buttons are on the other side of the SIM card tray. OnePlus has a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the bottom. Here you will also find a speaker and a USB Type-C port.
Like the other models in the Nord CE series, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G lacks the iconic warning slider. The phone weighs 195 grams, which is heavier than the Nord CE 2 5G. The weight of the phone is clearly visible in the hand. If you put the case together, it feels even heavier.
The back panel has a textured coating near the camera module. Here the color changes from sky blue to yellow when the phone is viewed from different angles when held in the light. The rest of the back panel has a static blue hue and has the OnePlus logo.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G specifications and Software
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has modest specifications, but is exactly in line with the competition in this segment. I found this a bit disappointing, as it is often known that OnePlus sets trends, but this time the company did not. For processing it is equipped with Snapdragon 695 SoC, which we have already seen in phones with similar prices as Vivo T1, Moto G71 and Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G. It also comes with the RAM Boost software feature, which can use up to 5 GB of internal memory as virtual RAM (in the top version).
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has support for Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, 4G VoLTE, five 5G bands and six satellite navigation systems. There is also a hybrid SIM slot that can replace a second SIM card with a microSD card up to 1TB. The phone has a 5000 mAh battery and supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G runs on OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12. My device has had an Android security fix since April 2022. The company guarantees two Android OS updates and three years of security updates for Nord CE 2 Lite 5G . It is much better than the others.
OxygenOS 12, coming in OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, has some new features that we first saw in OnePlus 10 Pro (review). OnePlus Scout lets you search for contacts, apps and things on the web, just like you can see in Apple’s Spotlight. Work-Life Balance 2.0 now allows you to create profiles so you can keep the applications you use for work separate. You can also filter notifications to concentrate while you’re at work. These accounts can be activated automatically based on time, location or Wi-Fi access point.
The OnePlus shelf can be accessed via a drop gesture from the top of the display. With Private Safe you can password protect your media files and applications. OnePlus minimizes pre-installed applications, which is good.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G performance and battery life
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G is a capable budget phone that runs smoothly during the review period. Things went smoothly for everyday use, but heavy applications and games took some time to load. Scrolling in the interface was smooth due to the high refresh rate. The multitasking was smooth and I was able to seamlessly switch between multiple running applications. With the help of a fingerprint scanner and face unlock, the phone was able to unlock faster. The speaker is powerful, but it would be better if there was a dual speaker setup.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G scored 4,00,763 points in the AnTuTu benchmark. The phone scored 687 points and 1951 points respectively in the single-core and multi-core Geekbench 5 test. It scored 17 frames per second and 60 frames per second in GFXBench’s CarChase and T-Rex. Compared to other competing phones with the same processor, these results are the same.
When it comes to gaming, Call of Duty: Mobile runs smoothly at a preset ‘High’ for graphics and frame rates. After playing the game for about 15 minutes, I noticed a 5 percent drop in battery level, which is not bad.
The battery life of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G was also good. It lasts more than a day and a half with me under normal use. The phone lasts 23 hours and 35 minutes in our HD video cycle, which is quite a decent amount of time. The 33W SuperVOOC charger included in the phone charges the phone from 0 to 50 percent in 30 minutes and up to 93 percent in one hour.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G camera
The phone has three cameras on the back, consisting of a 64-megapixel main lens, a 2-megapixel depth lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For the selfie, there is a 16-megapixel front camera like the OnePlus 9 Pro. One thing not to be missed is the ultra-wide camera found in the Nord CE 2 5G.
The camera app is very easy to use and there are several shooting modes to choose from. Through the viewfinder, you can switch to HDR, AI Scene Enhancer and capture images at full 64MP resolution on the main camera. There is also a “Pro” mode, which allows you to manually adjust individual exposure parameters.
The photos taken in daylight with the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G come with good dynamic range and colors. The phone supported the exposure well. In the landscape shots, even the small things visible from a distance became recognizable. AI Scene Enhancer improved the colors a bit, but the result didn’t look deceptive. The photos taken with the 64-megapixel camera had good dynamic range, but no details.
The close-ups were crisp, with a slight blur of the subject’s background. The camera app also suggested how to position the phone when the subject approached. Images taken in portrait mode have good edge recognition and the intensity of the background blur can be adjusted. The 2-megapixel macro camera takes good photos, but I must say that I would be happy if these two lenses were not there in exchange for an ultra-wide-angle camera.
The camera’s performance in low light was average. Things weren’t sharp in the picture, and the phone struggled to capture enough detail in the darker parts of the scene. After turning on night mode, it took 3 to 4 seconds to take a picture, but the picture came out bright. With this mode, the phone managed to capture good details even in shady areas.
Selfies taken in daylight and low light were good with the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. The portrait photos were also good. In low light, it automatically uses the screen flash to capture bright photos.
Speaking of video, the phone can record videos up to 1080p. Stabilization was good in daylight, only the shots trembled slightly when walking.
I’m glad we finally have a OnePlus smartphone that is under 20,000 rupees. But at the same time, I’m disappointed that Nord CE 2 Lite 5G didn’t significantly increase competition. The features that this phone offers are good, but not good enough to stand out from the market. Included software updates and fast charging are some of its highlights, and the phone seems to be a mix of phones from BBK-owned brands such as Realme and Vivo. It is similar to them in appearance and performance.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G gets tough competition from the Vivo T1, which is also 3000 Rs cheaper than its base version and is similar in specifications. Moto G71 5G (Review) is also 2 thousand rupees cheaper than this, but does not get a screen with a high refresh rate. Amoled display and ultra wide camera are provided in the phone.
If you have decided that you want to get a OnePlus smartphone and receiving software updates for a long time is on your top list, then you can look at Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. For the rest, I think the Vivo T1 and iQoo Z6 provide the same performance at a lower price. Moto G71 5G is another option if you can use a 60Hz display.

iQoo Neo 6 Review: A Powerful Phone at a Reasonable Price!
iQOO Neo 6 Price in India
The iQoo Neo 6 is priced at Rs 29,999 in India, which comes with the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. Its top model comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, which costs Rs 33,999. The iQoo Neo 6 can be purchased in Dark Nova and Cyber Rays colors.
iku neo 6 design
The iQoo Neo 6 phone is a rebranded model of the iQoo Neo 6 SE that was launched in China earlier this year. Neo 6 is a large smartphone in terms of dimensions and weighs 190 grams. The phone has a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole design at the top for the selfie camera. Display bezels are thin. The frame of the phone is made of plastic and is kept flat on top and bottom.
iQoo has added an IR (infrared) emitter that sits near the secondary microphone on the top. At the bottom there is a slot for a USB Type C port, a speaker and a SIM tray. The back panel is made of plastic with curved sides. The phone is quite comfortable to hold. Its right side is narrow and carries a thin power button and volume rocker.
The dark new color of the phone looks quite elegant. It has a gradient finish that shows a mixed shade of dark blue and bright blue. If you want a flashier phone, then you can also check out its Cyber Rage variant. The phone’s camera module will grab your attention. It has a two-tiered design on which the Neo branding is placed, which is seen separately.
The company has also provided a transparent case inside the phone box. The back panel has a matte finish, so fingerprints don’t fall off so easily. You also get a USB Type C to 3.5mm audio adapter, which is a good thing.
iQoo Neo 6 Specifications and Software
Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC is provided in iQoo Neo 6 which is the most powerful processor for this price range. The Mi 11X competes directly with this phone, which has a similar chip. iQoo says it has included a liquid cooling system in the phone to keep the processor cool.
The Neo 6 has a Full HD Plus E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 360Hz touch sample rate that can go up to 1200Hz in some games. The display is also HDR10+ certified and its brightness is 800 nits. iQoo has also provided stereo speakers in the Neo 6, but the phone does not have an IP rating.
This iQoo phone supports Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, four 5G bands, dual 4G VoLTE and five satellite navigation systems. You don’t get NFC in this. iQoo Neo 6 has a 4700mAh battery and supports up to 80W fast charging. You also get a compatible charger in the box.
Talking about the software, it runs on Funtouch OS 12 which is based on Android 12. The company has promised two years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates with the phone. Its user interface is almost similar to Vivo X80 which I reviewed recently. Too bad I have the same experience with bloated software in this as well. Some applications may be uninstalled. The browser keeps sending spam notifications throughout the day which is quite annoying.
iQoo Neo 6 performance and battery life
iQoo Neo 6 has a powerful processor and there is no lag in the phone even with prolonged use. I had its 12GB variant on which I could multitask, switching between apps very comfortably. I didn’t see any apps reloading at any point. The phone has an extended RAM feature and can use up to 4GB of system memory as RAM.
I enjoyed watching videos on the phone’s AMOLED display. Stereo speakers make the experience even better. The refresh rate is high, so scrolling is smooth in apps and menus. The company has set the Smart Switch refresh rate as the default. It runs at 120Hz most of the time at this setting.
iQoo Neo 6 has an in-display fingerprint scanner which is quite reliable and never gets damaged during use. FaceUnlock also works in a similar way. The phone scored well in benchmarks. Its AnTuTu score is higher than the OnePlus Nord 2 with 729,331 points. In Geekbench 5, it scored 983 and 3074 points in single and multi-core. In the GFXBench graph, it scored 50fps in the Car Chase test. Users who want good performance, this phone will not disappoint in terms of results.
I played Call of Duty: Mobile on it, which by default was running on very high graphics and had the frame rate set to high by default. I played the game for 20 minutes in which the battery dropped by 5%. The phone didn’t heat up, which explains its liquid cooling capability.
I loved the battery performance of this phone and it lasted comfortably for one and a half days. In the HD video cycle test, the phone lasted 21 hours and 17 minutes, which is quite impressive. Its 80W fast charger charged the phone 83% in 30 minutes and the phone was fully charged within 50 minutes.
iQOO Neo 6K camera
The iQoo Neo 6 features a triple camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary lens with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 116-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel camera. The camera app is very easy to use and looks similar to the Vivo X80 app. The main camera takes 16-megapixel photos by default, but you can click full-resolution photos if needed.
His daylight landscape photos were accompanied by detail and subjects were easily recognizable even from a distance. Words written on distant buildings can also be read. AI optimization is available in the phone which improves the contrast in the output. The ultra-wide camera has a wider field of view and gets the same color profile as the main camera.
The phone takes close-up photos with clear and full details. This creates a natural bokeh effect between the background and the subject. Edge detection was good in portrait mode. The macro camera also captured extremely close-up shots.
The phone proved to be very fast when shooting a low-light scene, for which it held the shutter open for a long time. Thanks to this, the image was captured with a clear and detailed picture. In very dark areas, the phone itself suggested switching to night mode.
The phone’s sensor captures the selfie in full resolution. The app adds a beautification filter by default, but it can also be adjusted or disabled if needed. In daylight, the skin tone is accurate to the photo. In low light, the screen flash is activated automatically for better results. Edge detection was good in selfies taken in portrait mode and the level of background blur was also adequate.
Its primary rear camera can shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second. Its selfie camera can also shoot videos at this resolution and frame rate, which is rare. Footage was fairly stable in daylight, but motion in low light was a bit shaky. The camera app has a dual video mode so that the main and selfie cameras can record videos at the same time.
If you are looking for a 30k budget smartphone then you can keep this phone high on your list. The phone’s performance is pretty good, as you’d expect from a device with a Qualcomm chip. The promise of Android and security updates makes it future proof. In my opinion, its base 8GB variant seems better value for money.
I don’t have many complaints about it other than the pre-installed bloatware on the phone. If you pick up the phone for video recording purposes, then be aware that it doesn’t perform as well in low light.
If you want pure software, you can look at the Motorola Edge 30. If you can’t compromise on performance, go for the Mi 11X and OnePlus Nord 2, which are good alternatives in the same price range.
Nokia G11 Plus budget Android smartphone introduced with 50MP camera
HMD Global introduced its budget Android smartphone to the market a few months ago under the name Nokia G11. The company has sold millions of smartphones so far. Now the company has announced the new model of this smartphone, Nokia G11 Plus. However, the addition of the Plus to this Nokia smartphone isn’t really an upgrade over the original model when it comes to specs.
Nokia G11 Plus features and specifications
Talking about the features and specifications, the Nokia G11 Plus features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Talking about the processor, the company has not yet said which processor is in this phone, but it could be the 1.6GHz octa-core Unisoc T606 SoC.
In terms of storage, the smartphone packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot that supports expandable storage up to 512GB. Talking about the camera setup, a dual camera setup is given on the rear side of the smartphone which houses a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. At the same time, an 8-megapixel camera is placed on the front of this smartphone for selfies and video calls.
Talking about the operating system, this smartphone runs on the out-of-the-box Android 12 operating system. The company has confirmed that this phone will get the operating system upgrade for 2 years and security update for 3 years. Talking about battery backup, it will get a 4000 mAh battery. Talking about the price, as of now the company has not revealed the price of Nokia G11 Plus but the price of this smartphone is expected to be around $150 ie. around Rs 11,842 in Indian currency. Speaking of availability, it will soon be available for purchase in select regions.
