Realme 9 5G price India
The price of Realme 9 5G in India is 14,999 Rs, which offers 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage for this smartphone. At the same time, its version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage costs Rs 17,499. The smartphone is available in two colors, with the option Stargaze White and Meteor Black. I had the Stargaze White version with me.
Realme 9 5G design
The Realme 9 5G has a familiar design and looks reminiscent of all the company’s smartphones I’ve used before. There is a camera hole in the left corner of the phone’s large display. The borders on the top and sides are quite thin, but the chin is very thick. It doesn’t bother much and works well on smartphones in this price range. Reality used plastic for the frame and back panel, so the company was able to limit its weight to 188 grams, which feels quite light.
The power button is available on the right side of the phone, which is provided with a fingerprint scanner. The volume buttons are given on the other side. All buttons are easy to reach when used with one hand. The phone is quite thin and only 8.55 mm thick.
At the bottom of the phone there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack, main microphone, USB Type-C port and speaker. While the top is completely empty. The back of the phone is absolutely flat and the edges are curved, which makes the phone very comfortable to hold. The three cameras are located in a rectangular module at the back, which looks a bit convex. Therefore, the phone can not remain stable on a flat surface, which I did not like.
The back panel has a pattern of stellar white coating, which, when viewed in light, seems to change color. Fingerprints appear on the panel, but are not easily visible. There is also a transparent phone case in the box.
Realme 9 5G specifications and Software
Realme 9 5G has a 6.5-inch LCD display with Full HD + resolution. It has a refresh rate of 90Hz. The weight of the phone’s performance is on an 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G processor. The device gets a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The charger comes with the box. There are two nano SIM cards and a microSD card in the SIM tray. This phone has Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi and a 6-satellite navigation system.
Speaking of the operating system, it works with Realme UI 2.0, based on Android 11. A security patch for Android from March 2022 was given in my device. The user interface is quite simple, especially when using the Realme phone for the first time. You can switch between the three-button layout or the navigation gestures. It also has a Smart Sidebar feature that gives you quick access to your favorite apps and actions.
In Realme UI 2.0 you get various customization options in which you can change the style of icons, color scheme, font and layout of icons. There are also experimental features that you can try out in the Realme Lab section of the Settings app. One such feature is the Sleep Capsule, which does not allow you to use applications after a certain period of time, so you can sleep without any disturbances.
I found a large amount of pre-installed inflation software in the device. During the review, I continue to receive spam notifications from some apps, such as FinShell Pay and Theme Store, but you can also remove third-party apps.
Realme 9 5G performance and battery life
The performance of the Realme 9 5G was quite good in normal use. The refresh rate continues to switch between 60 and 90 Hz, depending on what you are doing on the phone. You can also lock it at 90Hz to make scrolling smoother.
The experience of watching videos on the phone was good, but the sound of the single speaker was not very loud. In this case, the Redmi Note 11 gives it tough competition, in which dual speakers are given with an AMOLED display. Its side fingerprint scanner is quite fast and did not take more than one attempt to unlock the phone. The phone’s face recognition feature is also very fast.
My review device had 6 GB of RAM, plus 5 GB of storage space can also be converted to virtual RAM. Multitasking is smooth in the phone. I was able to quickly switch from one application to another without having to reload applications in the background. The charging time of the phone application is also less.
Speaking about the results of comparative tests, the phone scored 372,099 points in AnTuTu. He scored 609 in the single-core Geekbench 5 test and 1830 in the multi-core test. The phone scored 3475 in the 3DMark Sling Shot test.
Shared games worked seamlessly on the phone. Even Call of Duty: Mobile runs by default at medium graphics and average frame rates. I played on the phone for 15 minutes, after which the battery was reduced by 4 percent. The heat in the phone was almost non-existent.
Realme 9 5G offers a good battery life and you can use it comfortably for about a day and a half on a full charge. The phone lasts 16 hours and 38 minutes in our HD video cycle, which is a decent time. The 18W charger that comes with the phone charges it to 27 percent in 30 minutes and 52 percent in an hour. It takes a little over 2 hours to fully charge the phone.
Realme 9 5G cameras
The Realme 9 5G has a 48MP main camera that has an aperture of f / 1.8. Captures 12-megapixel photos by default. An ultrawide camera is not provided in the phone. Its other two sensors are black and white portrait and macro. The phone comes with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Many features and shooting modes are available in the camera application. There is also a quick switch button for HDR and AI mode. The phone also has a street mode, which gives an effect with high contrast and high saturation when taking pictures.
The camera’s performance in daylight is good. The light was on well and HDR mode turned on automatically when the brightness was high. AI mode seemed more aggressive in terms of green, making trees and other green things look too artificial. The main camera of the phone takes good pictures, but when zoomed in, the details decrease a bit. The ultra-wide-angle camera had to be in the phone for a lot to be done.
The close-up photos on the phone were good and the blurring of the background was also well maintained. The portrait shots were sharp and the edge detection was also good with blurring the background. The macro photos were average and the resolution was only 2 megapixels.
The performance of the camera in low light of the phone in normal photo mode was quite average. The picture looked soft and the watercolor effect was visible in the distant things. There was no significant difference even when using night mode. Although it displays details in the dark, it has acquired a yellow tint, as if a filter had been used. The shots were also stabilized, so the blur was also quite visible.
Selfies looked good even in daylight or low light. Using the brightness of the screen in low light gave good results. The selfies were good, but the phone used the default beauty filter.
With the main camera and selfie camera, the phone can record videos up to 1080p. It does not stabilize the shots by default. It has Ultra Steady mode, which slightly cuts the frame to stabilize the frame, which makes the video better. Light grains could be seen in low light.
Overall, the performance of the Realme 9 5G camera was decent during the day, but the phone struggled in low light conditions.
Realme has released so many smartphones in the range of under 20 thousand rupees that it becomes difficult to distinguish its models and series from each other and not know which phone to choose. Simple design and specifications are given in Realme 9 5G, which I think will not attract much. The hardware features of the phone are quite similar to the Realme 8S 5G. It seems that the company has lowered some of the specifications of the older models to keep the price of the phone low.
The 6GB RAM version of the Realme 9 5G is available for Rs 17,499, with the same specifications as the Rs 500 more expensive Realme 8s 5G. Realme 8s 5G has a 64-megapixel camera and 33W fast charging, which makes it more affordable.
The base version of the Realme 9 5G is available for Rs 14,999. I found it to be more cost effective than the single test I did. If you are a regular user, you can check out this phone. But I would suggest you choose Redmi Note 11, as it also has an AMOLED display, stereo speakers and 33W support for fast charging. It does not have 5G connectivity, but currently no network provider in India provides this service. So there is nothing wrong with buying a Redmi phone.

iQoo Neo 6 Review: A Powerful Phone at a Reasonable Price!
iQOO Neo 6 Price in India
The iQoo Neo 6 is priced at Rs 29,999 in India, which comes with the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. Its top model comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, which costs Rs 33,999. The iQoo Neo 6 can be purchased in Dark Nova and Cyber Rays colors.
iku neo 6 design
The iQoo Neo 6 phone is a rebranded model of the iQoo Neo 6 SE that was launched in China earlier this year. Neo 6 is a large smartphone in terms of dimensions and weighs 190 grams. The phone has a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole design at the top for the selfie camera. Display bezels are thin. The frame of the phone is made of plastic and is kept flat on top and bottom.
iQoo has added an IR (infrared) emitter that sits near the secondary microphone on the top. At the bottom there is a slot for a USB Type C port, a speaker and a SIM tray. The back panel is made of plastic with curved sides. The phone is quite comfortable to hold. Its right side is narrow and carries a thin power button and volume rocker.
The dark new color of the phone looks quite elegant. It has a gradient finish that shows a mixed shade of dark blue and bright blue. If you want a flashier phone, then you can also check out its Cyber Rage variant. The phone’s camera module will grab your attention. It has a two-tiered design on which the Neo branding is placed, which is seen separately.
The company has also provided a transparent case inside the phone box. The back panel has a matte finish, so fingerprints don’t fall off so easily. You also get a USB Type C to 3.5mm audio adapter, which is a good thing.
iQoo Neo 6 Specifications and Software
Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC is provided in iQoo Neo 6 which is the most powerful processor for this price range. The Mi 11X competes directly with this phone, which has a similar chip. iQoo says it has included a liquid cooling system in the phone to keep the processor cool.
The Neo 6 has a Full HD Plus E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 360Hz touch sample rate that can go up to 1200Hz in some games. The display is also HDR10+ certified and its brightness is 800 nits. iQoo has also provided stereo speakers in the Neo 6, but the phone does not have an IP rating.
This iQoo phone supports Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, four 5G bands, dual 4G VoLTE and five satellite navigation systems. You don’t get NFC in this. iQoo Neo 6 has a 4700mAh battery and supports up to 80W fast charging. You also get a compatible charger in the box.
Talking about the software, it runs on Funtouch OS 12 which is based on Android 12. The company has promised two years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates with the phone. Its user interface is almost similar to Vivo X80 which I reviewed recently. Too bad I have the same experience with bloated software in this as well. Some applications may be uninstalled. The browser keeps sending spam notifications throughout the day which is quite annoying.
iQoo Neo 6 performance and battery life
iQoo Neo 6 has a powerful processor and there is no lag in the phone even with prolonged use. I had its 12GB variant on which I could multitask, switching between apps very comfortably. I didn’t see any apps reloading at any point. The phone has an extended RAM feature and can use up to 4GB of system memory as RAM.
I enjoyed watching videos on the phone’s AMOLED display. Stereo speakers make the experience even better. The refresh rate is high, so scrolling is smooth in apps and menus. The company has set the Smart Switch refresh rate as the default. It runs at 120Hz most of the time at this setting.
iQoo Neo 6 has an in-display fingerprint scanner which is quite reliable and never gets damaged during use. FaceUnlock also works in a similar way. The phone scored well in benchmarks. Its AnTuTu score is higher than the OnePlus Nord 2 with 729,331 points. In Geekbench 5, it scored 983 and 3074 points in single and multi-core. In the GFXBench graph, it scored 50fps in the Car Chase test. Users who want good performance, this phone will not disappoint in terms of results.
I played Call of Duty: Mobile on it, which by default was running on very high graphics and had the frame rate set to high by default. I played the game for 20 minutes in which the battery dropped by 5%. The phone didn’t heat up, which explains its liquid cooling capability.
I loved the battery performance of this phone and it lasted comfortably for one and a half days. In the HD video cycle test, the phone lasted 21 hours and 17 minutes, which is quite impressive. Its 80W fast charger charged the phone 83% in 30 minutes and the phone was fully charged within 50 minutes.
iQOO Neo 6K camera
The iQoo Neo 6 features a triple camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary lens with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 116-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel camera. The camera app is very easy to use and looks similar to the Vivo X80 app. The main camera takes 16-megapixel photos by default, but you can click full-resolution photos if needed.
His daylight landscape photos were accompanied by detail and subjects were easily recognizable even from a distance. Words written on distant buildings can also be read. AI optimization is available in the phone which improves the contrast in the output. The ultra-wide camera has a wider field of view and gets the same color profile as the main camera.
The phone takes close-up photos with clear and full details. This creates a natural bokeh effect between the background and the subject. Edge detection was good in portrait mode. The macro camera also captured extremely close-up shots.
The phone proved to be very fast when shooting a low-light scene, for which it held the shutter open for a long time. Thanks to this, the image was captured with a clear and detailed picture. In very dark areas, the phone itself suggested switching to night mode.
The phone’s sensor captures the selfie in full resolution. The app adds a beautification filter by default, but it can also be adjusted or disabled if needed. In daylight, the skin tone is accurate to the photo. In low light, the screen flash is activated automatically for better results. Edge detection was good in selfies taken in portrait mode and the level of background blur was also adequate.
Its primary rear camera can shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second. Its selfie camera can also shoot videos at this resolution and frame rate, which is rare. Footage was fairly stable in daylight, but motion in low light was a bit shaky. The camera app has a dual video mode so that the main and selfie cameras can record videos at the same time.
If you are looking for a 30k budget smartphone then you can keep this phone high on your list. The phone’s performance is pretty good, as you’d expect from a device with a Qualcomm chip. The promise of Android and security updates makes it future proof. In my opinion, its base 8GB variant seems better value for money.
I don’t have many complaints about it other than the pre-installed bloatware on the phone. If you pick up the phone for video recording purposes, then be aware that it doesn’t perform as well in low light.
If you want pure software, you can look at the Motorola Edge 30. If you can’t compromise on performance, go for the Mi 11X and OnePlus Nord 2, which are good alternatives in the same price range.
