Realme C3 design
Realme has chosen a new design for 2020, which the company calls Sunrise Design. We’ve seen this on the Realme 5i and now the company is testing it on the Realme C3. The Realme C3 is available in two colors, including Frozen Blue and Blazing Red. For this review we have a color version Frozen Blue. This color definitely attracts attention. The back of the phone has a texture that you can feel in your fingers.
Realme gave a larger display in the C3 than the previous model. The size of the display is 6.5 inches and has an aspect ratio of 20: 9. This aspect ratio makes the smartphone tall and thin, so it is relatively easy to hold and use. There are thin frames around the display, but the chin at the bottom has a thick chin. Like most Realme smartphones on the market, the Realme C3 also comes with a water drop.
The frame of the phone is made of plastic. The power button is on the right and the volume button is on the left. The buttons are placed in the right place, which makes them easy to reach with your finger. However, they lack bulges, which makes them a little difficult to reach precisely.
The SIM tray is given just above the volume button in Reality C3. The good thing is that it can be used with both SIM cards and a microSD card. The phone has a Micro-USB port, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a speaker at the bottom. It’s a bit disappointing that in 2020 this phone doesn’t use USB Type-C. Nothing is given at the top of the frame.
Coming from behind. Here you will find the design of the phone, very similar to the Reality 5i. Its camera module also matches the Realme 5i. Reality C3 has a dual rear camera. The company has provided a metal edge around the camera that protects the lens from scratches. The Realme C3 has a 5000 mAh battery, which is rare in a phone at this price. However, the large battery also adds to the weight of this phone. The phone weighs 195 grams.
Realme C3 specifications and Software
In Reality C2, the company had given the Helio P22 chipset to MediaTek, but here the company made the biggest change. Reality has given MediaTek’s new Helio G70 chipset, which focuses on gaming by hitting a big jump in C3. This is an octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz. Two variants are given in C3. Its base version comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, and its second version has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The company has correctly determined the price of both options. The base version costs Rs 6999 and the high-end version costs Rs 7,999. As mentioned, its storage can also be increased via a microSD card.
Realme C3 is a smartphone with two SIM cards that supports 4G and VoLTE. Connection options include Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi, five positioning systems and all other common sensors. Like the Realme C2, the Realme C3 does not include a fingerprint scanner.
Phone software is one place where Realme has improved. Realme C3 now runs on ColorOS as its previous version, instead the company has provided RealmeUI V1.0 in it, which is based on Android 10. This is the first smartphone from the company that comes with pre-installed Android 10.
Realme’s new user interface is similar to Oppo’s ColorOS and comes with many changes compared to ColorOS 6. It’s very similar to standard Android and we liked its layout. However, the phone still includes some bloatware (unwanted applications), including Facebook, Helo, Dailyhunt, Gaana, Opera News, UC Browser and some applications in the field. The smartphone also has an App Market store, which is another alternative to the Google Play Store.
Swiping to the right of the home screen does not display the Smart Assistant or Google Assistant screen. Yes, Universal Search is still available on the phone, which requires swiping down the home screen to access it. Dark mode is also included in RealmeUI. The phone also has a focus mode that can be turned on from the notification panel.
Like other Realme smartphones, this phone also comes with Game Space, which helps you block calls and notifications while playing. Realme also claims to have a privacy feature on the phone that allows apps to request access to your call history, contacts and messages sending blank or fake information.
Realme C3 performance and battery life
As a budget device, we expected the Realme C3 to deliver average performance. However, the device works well. We didn’t notice any delay in scrolling through menus and multitasking. Let me tell you that we tested the 4 GB RAM version on this device and it can perform many tasks quite easily without killing the applications.
We set up Face Recognition on the device and found that this phone conveniently recognizes your face in any light and locks the phone. The display stays bright even in sunny conditions, but it would be nice if the viewing angles were a little better.
We also played PUBG Mobile in Reality C3. The graphics are set to HD from the start of the game and the settings are also set to High, which is good. However, we found a slight lag in the game of these settings after a while. Converting the setting from high to medium resulted in a significant improvement in performance and the game ran smoothly without any problems. If you play the game in it for 15 minutes at high settings, then you will feel a slight warmth on the display.
The phone comes with a huge 5000 mAh battery, which provides great battery life. In our test, this phone lasted about two days on a single charge. During this time we played several games on the phone, used an active WhatsApp account and used Google Chrome to surf the web. In our HD video cycle test, the smartphone provided an incredible 28 hours and 20 minutes of spare battery, unlike any other smartphone that was still in this test. At one point, however, we were disappointed. With a larger battery, of course, the company had to provide support for fast charging, but Realme provides a 10W output charger with this phone, which takes two hours to fully charge the battery.
Realme C3 cameras
The Realme C3 has a 12-megapixel main camera that comes with an f / 1.8 aperture. Its second camera is a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The camera app has changed a lot compared to the previous realme phone. In addition to photo and video modes, it now includes Portrait, Time-lapse, Slo-mo, Expert and Pano modes. There are also quick switches for HDR and Chroma Boost.
When taking photos in broad daylight, the Realme C3 quickly locks the focus. The camera measured the light correctly, which is why the phone got good photos. However, if you take pictures by zooming in on the camera, then you will see a lack of detail in the pictures. The quality of the camera can be said to be better according to the price of the phone. Coming to close-up photos, we noticed that Realme C3 was trying to lock the focus when it was too close to the subject. Although the picture comes out well when the focus is locked.
There is a depth sensor for portrait mode. The good thing is that the camera app allows you to set the blur level before taking a picture in this mode. Realme C3 detects the edges of the subject quite well, but we found that the picture is a bit flat.
Reality C3 gives quite average photos in low light. They clearly show a lack of detail and sharpness. The official Realme website initially claimed that the phone included a Super Nightscape mode feature, but we couldn’t find it in the camera app. When asked about this, a Realme representative confirmed to Gadgets 360 and said that this is a mistake and this model does not come with such a mode. The company later removed it from the website.
Speaking of selfies, the color tone is slightly wrong with selfies taken outside in daylight. The photo also lacked sharpness and detail. Both the rear and front cameras can record video to the phone with a maximum resolution of 1080 pixels. Video stabilization is not provided in the camera. Reality C3 detects light even in low light during video recording. This is a good feature for a phone in this segment.
Realme C3 definitely has stronger features than Realme C2 and strengthens the company’s budget series. Realme has provided a powerful chipset in the phone that gives good competition to its competitors in terms of performance. Battery life is longer than expected and impressive, all Realme smartphones are constantly successful in our battery tests. Of course, the performance of the Reality C3 camera can not be called the best, but it can not be called bad in terms of price.
You can easily advise to buy Realme C3 at an initial price of only 6999 Rs. Although Realme could offer a fingerprint scanner in this phone like most of its competitors. We also want to see USB Type-C become a standard feature.

iQoo Neo 6 Review: A Powerful Phone at a Reasonable Price!
iQOO Neo 6 Price in India
The iQoo Neo 6 is priced at Rs 29,999 in India, which comes with the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. Its top model comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, which costs Rs 33,999. The iQoo Neo 6 can be purchased in Dark Nova and Cyber Rays colors.
iku neo 6 design
The iQoo Neo 6 phone is a rebranded model of the iQoo Neo 6 SE that was launched in China earlier this year. Neo 6 is a large smartphone in terms of dimensions and weighs 190 grams. The phone has a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole design at the top for the selfie camera. Display bezels are thin. The frame of the phone is made of plastic and is kept flat on top and bottom.
iQoo has added an IR (infrared) emitter that sits near the secondary microphone on the top. At the bottom there is a slot for a USB Type C port, a speaker and a SIM tray. The back panel is made of plastic with curved sides. The phone is quite comfortable to hold. Its right side is narrow and carries a thin power button and volume rocker.
The dark new color of the phone looks quite elegant. It has a gradient finish that shows a mixed shade of dark blue and bright blue. If you want a flashier phone, then you can also check out its Cyber Rage variant. The phone’s camera module will grab your attention. It has a two-tiered design on which the Neo branding is placed, which is seen separately.
The company has also provided a transparent case inside the phone box. The back panel has a matte finish, so fingerprints don’t fall off so easily. You also get a USB Type C to 3.5mm audio adapter, which is a good thing.
iQoo Neo 6 Specifications and Software
Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC is provided in iQoo Neo 6 which is the most powerful processor for this price range. The Mi 11X competes directly with this phone, which has a similar chip. iQoo says it has included a liquid cooling system in the phone to keep the processor cool.
The Neo 6 has a Full HD Plus E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 360Hz touch sample rate that can go up to 1200Hz in some games. The display is also HDR10+ certified and its brightness is 800 nits. iQoo has also provided stereo speakers in the Neo 6, but the phone does not have an IP rating.
This iQoo phone supports Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, four 5G bands, dual 4G VoLTE and five satellite navigation systems. You don’t get NFC in this. iQoo Neo 6 has a 4700mAh battery and supports up to 80W fast charging. You also get a compatible charger in the box.
Talking about the software, it runs on Funtouch OS 12 which is based on Android 12. The company has promised two years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates with the phone. Its user interface is almost similar to Vivo X80 which I reviewed recently. Too bad I have the same experience with bloated software in this as well. Some applications may be uninstalled. The browser keeps sending spam notifications throughout the day which is quite annoying.
iQoo Neo 6 performance and battery life
iQoo Neo 6 has a powerful processor and there is no lag in the phone even with prolonged use. I had its 12GB variant on which I could multitask, switching between apps very comfortably. I didn’t see any apps reloading at any point. The phone has an extended RAM feature and can use up to 4GB of system memory as RAM.
I enjoyed watching videos on the phone’s AMOLED display. Stereo speakers make the experience even better. The refresh rate is high, so scrolling is smooth in apps and menus. The company has set the Smart Switch refresh rate as the default. It runs at 120Hz most of the time at this setting.
iQoo Neo 6 has an in-display fingerprint scanner which is quite reliable and never gets damaged during use. FaceUnlock also works in a similar way. The phone scored well in benchmarks. Its AnTuTu score is higher than the OnePlus Nord 2 with 729,331 points. In Geekbench 5, it scored 983 and 3074 points in single and multi-core. In the GFXBench graph, it scored 50fps in the Car Chase test. Users who want good performance, this phone will not disappoint in terms of results.
I played Call of Duty: Mobile on it, which by default was running on very high graphics and had the frame rate set to high by default. I played the game for 20 minutes in which the battery dropped by 5%. The phone didn’t heat up, which explains its liquid cooling capability.
I loved the battery performance of this phone and it lasted comfortably for one and a half days. In the HD video cycle test, the phone lasted 21 hours and 17 minutes, which is quite impressive. Its 80W fast charger charged the phone 83% in 30 minutes and the phone was fully charged within 50 minutes.
iQOO Neo 6K camera
The iQoo Neo 6 features a triple camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary lens with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 116-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel camera. The camera app is very easy to use and looks similar to the Vivo X80 app. The main camera takes 16-megapixel photos by default, but you can click full-resolution photos if needed.
His daylight landscape photos were accompanied by detail and subjects were easily recognizable even from a distance. Words written on distant buildings can also be read. AI optimization is available in the phone which improves the contrast in the output. The ultra-wide camera has a wider field of view and gets the same color profile as the main camera.
The phone takes close-up photos with clear and full details. This creates a natural bokeh effect between the background and the subject. Edge detection was good in portrait mode. The macro camera also captured extremely close-up shots.
The phone proved to be very fast when shooting a low-light scene, for which it held the shutter open for a long time. Thanks to this, the image was captured with a clear and detailed picture. In very dark areas, the phone itself suggested switching to night mode.
The phone’s sensor captures the selfie in full resolution. The app adds a beautification filter by default, but it can also be adjusted or disabled if needed. In daylight, the skin tone is accurate to the photo. In low light, the screen flash is activated automatically for better results. Edge detection was good in selfies taken in portrait mode and the level of background blur was also adequate.
Its primary rear camera can shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second. Its selfie camera can also shoot videos at this resolution and frame rate, which is rare. Footage was fairly stable in daylight, but motion in low light was a bit shaky. The camera app has a dual video mode so that the main and selfie cameras can record videos at the same time.
If you are looking for a 30k budget smartphone then you can keep this phone high on your list. The phone’s performance is pretty good, as you’d expect from a device with a Qualcomm chip. The promise of Android and security updates makes it future proof. In my opinion, its base 8GB variant seems better value for money.
I don’t have many complaints about it other than the pre-installed bloatware on the phone. If you pick up the phone for video recording purposes, then be aware that it doesn’t perform as well in low light.
If you want pure software, you can look at the Motorola Edge 30. If you can’t compromise on performance, go for the Mi 11X and OnePlus Nord 2, which are good alternatives in the same price range.
